BGR が入手した Apple の社内メモによると、2010 年 10 月 28 日現在、AppleCare Protection Plan (APP) の保証を新しい製品に移行したい顧客はそれが可能になるという。

メモの全文は次の通りです。

2010年10月28日より、AppleCare Protection Plan (APP) の保証を新しい製品に移行したいお客様は、契約を解約して新たに購入するのではなく、移行することが可能となります。移行対象となる製品は、過去30日以内に購入されたもので、新しい製品は当該契約の保証対象となる種類の製品である必要があります。
この変更は、2010年6月23日時点で既に iPhone 向け AppleCare Protection Plan に適用されています。現在、その他のすべての APP 契約にも適用されています。AppleCare
